The Ecuadorian government announced on Friday, November 23, the start of the reconstruction work on the airport in Manta, a work that will have an investment of 21 million dollars with financing from China.
The president explained that the new terminal will have an eight-story control tower, the building will be two floors for boarding and re-embarking and will also have a cargo terminal that did not exist before.
The project will take 18 months, with a large part of manpower from Manabi, which will generate around 350 jobs, he added. Also the government explained that before the area of the terminal was 2,465 m2 and in the future after the reconstruction will be 4,927 m2; The control tower was 18 meters high and will now be 36.6 meters high.
