The Ministry of Foreign Affairs asks for a Background check to everyone applying for a residency
visa here in Ecuador from the place they lived in the last 5 years. In the case of the United States,
because this country has a federal, state and county police; the reports must be from the main
two. The county report shows too little information, but the state and federal information show a
wider range.
